Who says business trips cannot be a family affair? While the idea of bringing your children on a business trip may sound tremendous, with the right approach you can transform these tours into unfortunate adventures. Yes, you can manager back with your back, while still spraying around in the hotel pool or exploring a nearby zoo with your smallest. Sounds difficult? Maybe. Is the sound worth it? Absolutely!

As an example, go on my upcoming trip to Anaheim. I will aim at the show Card West Coast, one of the most epic events for card collectors. But guess what? I will not just grab flights and shake my hands; I will also make memories with my family. Disneyland is just a few blocks away. Over the years, the finely tuned art of mixing productivity with parenting, and now I am here to share my strategies.

1. Look for hotels that are a child’s dream

First, a hotel. Your selection of accommodation can make or break your way. Look for options that just check the box “comfortable beds”, but also offer accessories friendly to children, such as swimming pools, gambling clubs or themed family suite. Find places where relaxation meets fun.

Long delay of the airport, stopover and endless waiting can test your patience – and also the patience of your children. Therefore, I always pack a shelter of multipurpose entertainment costs. Think about tablets charged with applications, puzzles, electronic books and portable art supplies. My golden rule? Have more options than you think you need because boredom is waiting for anyone.

Meetings and children are often mixed like oil and water, but refreshments can change everything. I bring refreshments everywhere, I think bars, chocolates or fun rewards. Little motivation goes a long journey when the minutes extend a little long for small.

For example, during a quick meeting in a cafe in Seattle, I pulled out cookies that I grabbed before as a small “Thatk You” to my sound for his patience.

7. Recharge with outdoor escapes

You may find that the best memories are formed when you least expect them.
